I really wish I could make it ... I'll be in Atlanta. I probably won't be back in time to meet you guys at the bar either, sorry. I tend to procrastinate when I have to make a trip like that ...

Who else noticed that the guy who stopped by on the way to nationals trampled Cavanaugh by 5 seconds? That is insane ... are the 8's that good at the auto-x?

they are good if you have a good driver. i'm sure they are a bit hard to handle but in the hands of a capable driver they can be killer.

oh and Mike was on street tires if that helps. he was saving his slicks for the nationals in KS.

Oh, that makes sense then ...

I looked at the results and noticed that like the top 10 or so in BS were RX-8s ... that has to mean something. He is an awesome driver though.

I also noticed that the winner of BSP was in an Evo and ended up like #2 or #3 in PAX. I've got my work cut out next year, right?

You don't have to be in SM ... it's the boost control debate. I say that a BC doesn't put you in SM and others say it does. Either way, I don't have a BC so I'm in BSP.

The argument is that you can't have a MBC or aftermarket EBC in BSP. I have the stock boost solenoid and control it with the stock ECU and no one will argue against that for BSP. I think that a MBC is fine in BSP.

Caesar is in BSP and has a MBC. That's on my recommendation though. Honestly, no one will care at local events.

If you really want to know, write the SCCA and ask ... tell them your mods and they can recommend a class. From what I know, boost control of ANY TYPE will kick you out of ST, but it's completely legal in SP.

I actually posted an explanation on the EvoSE forum while it came back up for a little while ... maybe Sung could grab that info and post it here for you?
