PostSubject: Assasian's Creed   Mon Dec 31, 2007 12:01 pm

This game is similar to the GTA series in the sense that you are role playing a character, you get to free roam for the most parts, some areas are locked and you unlock them as you go through the game.

Game takes place in the Holy Land in the 12th century. You get to explore Jerusalem, Damascus, and Acre. These cities are huge.

The best part is you are an assasian, with a stealth blade up your sleeve, a sword on your back, a short blade in your belt and throwing knives on your shoulder. You get to pickpocket, kill, spy, sneak or just jump around roof tops and off towers slamming your blade through some guards skull. Plenty of blood and good fights between you and 25 or so guards.

This game is visually appealing and seems to have enough side quests, like collecting flags and saving poor people from the corrupt guards to keep you busy for a little while.

Sounds neat. Is it available on PS2? (I'm broke and don't have a new system ...)

It kind of sounds like a mix of Onimusha and Manhunt.

nah, they are just starting the outcast the older systems since they have a new system now, won't be long to you really get hit hard with new release shortages. But PS2 has a trillion games already released.

I know. I'll likely end up with a 360 soon and maybe a Wii. I might add a PS3 depending on the cost of Blu Ray players when I go HD. I'm pretty sure I'll just have to give up on the Gran Turismo franchise though and settle for PGR and Forza ...

I'm also curious what will happen with the Final Fantasy franchise as well. I was honestly upset when they left Nintendo and went to Sony for the majority of the releases, but now I can't imagine it any other way.

Why can't everyone just make their games cross platform?

Sony has lost the exclusive rights to a ton of games and there will be more and more PS specific games being released for the XBox. Having said that, I bought an XBOX 360 Elite 2+ weeks ago and it is the shizznit! 120GB HDD, Wireless controller HDMI interface and HD DVD player for $449.00. The only things I had to buy extra were another wireless controller and Micro$ofts proprietary WiFi antenna. Now I can download games, patches and videos from M$, play online and stream video's and music all using my XBox.
I am a huge Virtual Fighter fan and was about to buy a PS3 for Virtual Fighter 5 when the Mgr at FYE told me about Sony loosing it's exclusive rights to many of it's games and that VF5 had been released for the XBOX 360. Since I'm professionally and personally tied to Micro$oft, the ability to integrate my console with my gaming PC with my HDTV with my home theater seemed like a no brainer and I'm happy with the decision. Also, to my eye, the graphics on the Xbox 360 are a little better than the Playstation 3, but that's subjective.

Just picked up a 360 elite and I agree it is the shiznit! Forza 2 is sick as well...
